ABOUT PMA
Who We Are and What We Do...
Purdue Marketing Association (PMA) is an undergraduate student organization that works with Daniels School of Business faculty and corporate recruiters to help students become the best marketing professionals at Purdue.
PMA members are involved in numerous client-based projects, networking events including site tours and conferences, and participate in weekly workshops focused on various aspects of marketing. The PMA Executive Board coordinates these events each semester to ensure members are exposed to a well-rounded educational experience. This experience focuses on networking and relationship skills, as well as hands-on experience through interactions with clients and guest professionals. Students that have participated in our program have achieved success at companies such as Google, Eli Lilly, and Cisco. Students of all majors are welcome to join us to expand their skills and knowledge in the field of marketing!​
Executive Board
Harrison Wang
President
Harrison is the President for Purdue Marketing Association. He is a senior studying Marketing and Management with a concentration in Data Analytics. Outside of PMA, Harrison is on the FBLA - Purdue Chapter Executive board and is an avid golfer. He interned at Bell Flight as an Digital Marketing Intern in Fort Worth, TX. As President of PMA, Harrison hopes to create a welcoming environment for Purdue students.
Aiden Greene
Internal VP
Aiden is the Internal Vice President for the Purdue Marketing Association. He is a senior studying marketing and management with a minor in data analytics. Outside of PMA, Aiden played basketball and baseball in high school and was involved in his high school Competitive Show Choir; and is still active in Purdue Intramural sports. He hopes to gain more leadership experience and knowledge in marketing during his time in PMA and his internship with the Daniels School of Business. Over the summer, he worked as a Marketing and Sales Intern with Ford. After graduation, his dream is to become the director of marketing for a professional sports team.
Marshall Prince
External VP
Marshall is the External Vice President of the Purdue Marketing Association. He is a senior studying BAIM & Marketing with a minor in Economics. Outside of PMA, Marshall is a Business Ambassador, involved in Sports Analytics @ Purdue, and a pickleball enthusiast. He interned at UL Solutions in Northbrook, Illinois as a Product Management Intern last summer. As External VP of PMA, Marshall strives to provide students with real-world marketing opportunities to grow their professional expertise.
Paulette Fernandez
Director of Marketing
Paulette is the Director of Marketing for Purdue Marketing Association. She is a senior studying Marketing and Film. Outside of PMA, Paulette is a Student Leader at Horizons Student Support Services, a Hispanic Scholarship Foundation Scholar, and a part of the Latinx Student Union. In her free time, she enjoys creating videos, going to concerts, and exploring new artists and genres of music.
Vidhi Thakkar
Director of Operations
Vidhi is the Director of Operations for Purdue Marketing Association. She is a junior studying Marketing and Business Analytics and Information Management with a concentration in Management Consulting. Outside of PMA, Vidhi is in Alpha Omicron Pi. She interned in the marketing excellence program at AT&T in Dallas, TX. As Director of Operations for PMA, Vidhi hopes to create a strong sense of community and belonging for students who are looking to grow within Daniels and gain a thorough understanding of marketing!
Mallory Shoemaker
Director of Membership Development
Mallory is the Director of Membership Development for Purdue Marketing Association. She is a senior studying Marketing and Retail Management. Outside of PMA, Mallory is in Delta Gamma, Letters of Love, and Larsen Leaders Academy. She enjoys listening to music, traveling, going on walks, going to the lake, and spending time with friends and family. She interned at Lids as a Merchandising Intern in Indianapolis, IN. As the Director of Membership Development of PMA, Mallory hopes to create an outstanding agent program and plan fun events!
Pooja Madhav
Director of Conferences
Pooja is the Director of Conferences for the Purdue Marketing Association and a junior studying Marketing at the Daniels School of Business. Beyond PMA, she serves as a Business Ambassador, a Communications Intern for the Daniels Marketing Communications team, and the Director of Alumni Relations at the Brock Wilson Center for Women in Business. This past summer, Pooja interned at Caterpillar Inc. in Chicago, IL, as part of the Aftermarket Connectivity team for CAT Digital. Across all her roles, she strives to step outside her comfort zone, embrace new challenges, and continually enhance the value she brings to her experiences.
Marissa Urbanek
Director of Finance
Marissa is the Director of Finance for Purdue Marketing Association. She is a senior studying Marketing with concentrations in Data Analytics and Management Information Systems. Outside of PMA, Marissa loves getting involved with the community and playing basketball. She interned at The BAM Companies as a Marketing Intern in Carmel, IN.
Sophia Solomon
Project Lead
Sophia is a Project Lead for Purdue Marketing Association. She is a junior studying marketing and management with a minor in psychology. Outside of PMA, Sophia is on the Delta Gamma executive board. As a Project Lead, Sophia hopes to create impactful project results for our clients and support other students who are looking for real world marketing experience.
Jackson Ingenito
Project Lead
Jackson is a Project Lead for the Purdue Marketing Association. He is a senior studying Marketing, with minors in French and Spanish. Coming from a computer-science background, he is actively pursuing a career in website development services with integrated marketing solutions. He passes his free time at a coffee shop or in the Krannert library, spending time with friends or improving his Marketing toolkit. Being a project lead, Jackson looks forward to facilitating marketing-related discussions and actively works to drive agents to a common goal; the betterment of their client.
Ben Koch
Project Lead
Ben is a Project Lead for Purdue Marketing Association. He is a senior studying Marketing. Outside of PMA, Ben is a TA in the School of Business, as well as a musician, having played bass guitar for 6 years. He interned as a Field Sales and Marketing Representative for Techtronic Industries over the summer. He hopes to lead great projects and give beneficial experiences to members of PMA.
Sydney Williams
Project Lead
Sydney is a Project Lead for Purdue Marketing Association. Sydney is a senior studying Marketing with a concentration in Consulting and a minor in Accounting. Outside of PMA, Sydney is a University Residences Tour Guide and interned at Rehlko as a Product Marketing Intern in Kohler, WI. As a Project Lead, she hopes to help companies evolve their marketing strategies and teach agents valuable marketing skills.
Jacob Cohen
Project Lead
Jacob Cohen is a Project Lead for Purdue Marketing Association. He is a current junior at Purdue, majoring in marketing and psychology. Last summer, he worked as a brand ambassador for Go APE in Rock Creek, MD. In his free time, he enjoys playing intramural sports, drawing, and hiking
Shawn Heggland
Project Lead
Shawn is a Project Lead for Purdue Marketing Association. He is a senior studying Marketing. He interned at Just Ice Tea—an organic and fair trade Ice Tea company—in New York City over the summer. He helped to market the brand through product demos and local events. He loves playing basketball, listening to music, fishing, and cooking!
